Road to Nashville

Made our first road trip to Nashville to see son#1.  We first went to Starkville to pick up son #2,  In looking at the maps, we decided to head north rather than going east through Birmingham,  Along the way, we stopped in Corinth for a gravity break and a bite. Our smartazz phone told is there was a McAlisters in town a few miles down the road, and we love that glass of tea, so why not? Turns out they was locked up tighter than a drum! Next stop was the.Krystal. Spousal unit took over the facilities to change her clothes cause she was so busy driving from the back s...eat, she done got all excited that she spilled her jumbo glass of Dr. Pepper into her lap. Me and Mo placed and order that required.the head trainer to.come fix.the register. Putting cheese on half them suckers was too much for da trainee that she froze up the register. She then.handed me one of those number signs. I asked if I had to take it. She said yes, it was required on all big orders. Funny thang is, we were the only ones in there. I looked at her funny, and she said you have to take it, they might get a rush of people in before they delivered our order. The manager then came over and said "y'all ain't from around here are ya"? I asked how can you tell? Said we don't give many people in here wearing Hawaiian shirts and flip flops! Had a laugh, told her where we were from, where we were headed, and how many more hours we had.to.go. She said, "y'all must drive the speed limit and interstates". She said she cuts off an hour off.that time by hauling ass on the backroads of Tennessee. She.didn't have a full set of teeth in, and you know what, I believed her!
